    This is a true temper 1130 that I found in my garage and I don't know anything about it and I want to turn it into a shark reel if any of you could give me some ...more info I would really appreciate it.

      @andrewallenwvu a heads up if your gonna use the avenger rod for surf fishing its not to good to cast (all from personal experience)

      Thanks guys I just bought a new rod and reel it's a 7' okuma avenger with a av 300l reel I appreciate all the information and it sounds really confusing ...more but I learned a lot @jacob_new @Cowboy713

      Alrightidjust spool it the way you would spool a 6/0 i think drag is similar. Maybe a bit less

      It's a lot smaller than a 9/0 I don't know exactly how big but around a 5 or a 6

      50 lb mono would only give you an extra 20-30 yards on the spool

      Id do like 300 yds of mono. Not sure the test depending on drag. Im guessing it does 15-20 in wich case id do 30 lb mono. But more depending on the spool size. 50 ...more lb mono would be fine but so would 65
