Bass, as most places in August, are a bit more difficult but with the cooler temps in the high elevation, it can be good. Fontana offers some bank fishing but is ...more much better from a boat because of the vertical banks and high bluffs. It may be best to consider hiring a guide. Walleye and crappie fishing are good at night that time of year. Bream and white bass are good then.
