1. Well we went from 5 ft over the banks to almost drought like conditions. Last week we saw temps into the 100’s and no rain. The first drop of rain we saw was yesterday’s ...more sprinkle. Fishing has slowed because to the weather, and the fact no one wants to sit in the middle of the lake during 100° temps. We are seeing some catfish and carp being caught by some anglers, nothing really big or to brag about. Most of the catfish action has taken place the dams, flowing water gets the everytime. Some anglers are still catching walleye and saugers, but they are pretty tight lipped about where and how. Deeper holes in the river will hold some fish but a moajority of them are going to be caught by the starved rock dam. Early mornings and late evenings have been the best time to get out. This week looks a lot better tempreture wise and we might see some rain a day or two. Good Luck!!!
