After being discharged from the ER, I went carping in 60 degrees Colonial Lake yesterday evening on a cloudy ☁️, cold 🥶 day with a strong west wind 💨. Threw out Walmart canned whole kernel corn 🌽 for chum, then saw a big carp jump out of the water. 7 bank fishermen and two kayak fishermen were nearby. 190 rainbow trout were stocked Wednesday. Mallards 🦆 and great blue heron were flying. On my last cast of the day, I caught a 27” 11 lb 4 oz common carp with corn 🌽 bait for my only catch of the day. A fisherman in the next opening down the lake was watching me and took over my spot before I reached my car 🚗. I hope that he isn’t in my spot tomorrow.
