Went fishing 🎣 in 85.8 degrees Dam Site 21 this evening on a hot 🥵 , humid sunny ☀️ day with a strong south wind. No cars were in the parking lot when I arrived, but 4 cars were there when I left. 3 kayak fishermen were on the lake. A flock of 23 Canada geese was nearby. I threw out canned, whole kernel corn 🌽 for chum, then caught and released a bluegill with a 1/32 oz twister tail jig on 2 lb test line. Landed a 12.5” brown bullhead with my homemade corn meal bait. On my last cast of the day, I caught a 26” 8 lb 3 oz common carp with corn 🌽 bait. Put up a great fight. I gave it to a cast netter who had a lot of minnow size fish in his cooler. I landed 43 carp this year.
