Went carping in 74.6 degrees Gropp’s Lake this evening during a cloudy ☁️, cold 🥶 nor’easter. Air temperature was only 64 degrees. Threw out canned, whole kernel corn 🌽 for chum, then caught and released a 21” 3 lb channel catfish with corn 🌽 bait. Caught nothing with my homemade corn meal bait. Bluegills were on nests. Landed two with a 1/32 oz twister tail jig on 2 lb test line.
