Cooked up a new batch of my homemade corn meal bait this afternoon, then went fishing 🎣 in the 71.9 degree Delaware River in the public fishing area of the defunct Duck Island power plant on the outgoing tide. No cars 🚘 were in the parking lot when I arrived, but 4 cars 🚙 were there when I left. Threw out canned, whole kernel corn 🌽 for chum, then caught nothing with corn 🌽 bait and while ultralight jigging. Caught and released 2 18” 2.5 lb channel catfish with my corn meal bait. Saw three big fish 🐠 jump out of the water, 2 snapping turtle heads sticking out of the river, boats, personal watercraft, a water skier, 3 bald eagles 🦅, double crested cormorants, a wood duck and a Canada goose. Found fishing gear on the ground. While walking back to my car 🚗, there was a blue jay nestling on the ground near the feral cat 🐈⬛ colony. Took lots of photos.
