Caught this 4 pound 13 oz smallmouth on the backside of a channel concrete marker. Current in the river runs very fast so figured there would be some trying to stay out of the fast rushing water. My son in law caught a large drum in same spot once we pulled boat up. His second cast was a nice bass and during this I was still getting my gear ready. I bounced my Ned rig off the concrete marker and let it drop straight down. Instantly my line went tight and was hooked up with this bass. I was using 10 pound fluorocarbon leader attached to 15 pound braided line.
