      sounds good u should try rigging them with dinner drop shot hook n split shot...great action

      in weedy areas, I'll slice the bait vertically, and leave the point of the hook below the top of the bait in the slit.

      or octopus hook works too with split shot an gulp..hook size will vary from size of gulp..

      also try road runner 1/8 -1/4 oz but you will have to super glue gulp to jighead or else it will slide down..

      lol I've used that also got another style for u to try small drop shot hook ..hook thru both eyes of gulp I like the 2.5 to 4 inch depends on size of shad in ...more your lake ..hooked thru the eyes an small split shot bout 18imches up from hook..light line 6lb test ..use lightest split shot u can an still be able to cast it well. the lighter the weight the slower an more natural the fall rate is..yo yo it slow back in..they will smack it in drop

      I use a perch colored jig head, and attach a 1/4oz beetle spin spinning blade.
