Went out on Sunday, to Lake Arthur. Didn't do great, so when the chance to fish Cross Creek, the next day, arose, I jumped at it. did much better. I was amazed at how clear the water was! I shoved almost my entire paddled down into the water, and could STILL see the other paddle end! anyway, the male bass are now on beds, in shallow, rocky and gravely shorelines, and I was able to land 6, plus a Crappie. the first bass, I had to work on him, and really convince him to bite, as, with the ultra-clear water, they are really spooky. Nothing monstrous. Average was about 14 inches, but I'll take it. Finesse was the name of the game.
