I got a new shimano caenan yesterday and I paired it with a 7'0 medium action Abu Garcia vendetta rod. The reel is a 6:5:1 and I was wondering what I should throw on it?

      Keep this one with 12-15lb fluoro or mono and load the other with 30lb braid, you'll have a dynamite combo

      Bait setup. I like MH myself, but M action rods certainly have their place!

      I don't think any of my conventional rod and reel brands match lol, that combo will throw just about anything you want short of big swim baits/small weightless ...more plastics, would be an excellent crank

      Either 12-15 lb. mono or 17lb. Flouro.

      You should always pair name brand reels with their brand rods when possible..that being said, it's a 6:5:1. It's a mid gear ratio reel. And if you're ...more putting it on a 7' medium action, then I'd throw
