Cold morning and night around high 20s and low 30s so there are little action in the surface until the temperature rises in the day and insects become more active before switching to flies. In the early morning I used kastmaster with trout pattern to catch these high Sierra trouts. Very fun but my hands were freezing! Part of the experience when you go backpacking in the back country.
