Casting in cove of a neighborhood lake where I know schools of shad hang out so I thought I'd match them with a silver Rat-L-Trap. Also, because the water clarity was bad I thought something noisy would help. I was working a medium retrieve when this nice girl grabbed ahold! She started the fight slow, but got up to the surface and splashed around a bit before I landed her. I estimated about 4-5#

theSturgeonGeneral13 0Also, she had a parasite - you can sort of see it on the lateral line between her dorsal and anal fins. Not sure if this is a problem in that lake or not.
