Had the opportunity to fish a few lakes and ponds on my friends deer lease in South Texas. I was casting over a spawning flat in about three feet of water. I wasn't sight fishing but I assume she came off a bed. Between six of us, we caught 167 in about 8 hours. The majority of our fish were in the 3 pound range. Wasn't expecting it to be so loaded! This one weighed 4 lbs 3oz.
