Caught a Smallmouth Buffalo on Pearland Ponds using a 3/4oz Football jig. Zoom speed craw trailer green pumpkin

This is a first. Slow crawlin a football jig thru deep parts of the lake looking for new structure. The fish hit as I was reeling it in just passed where my polarized glasses could see. Snapped a pic and sent it on its way.

  To fish about twice a year yes bull reds fight harder but it's just easier for me to throw out a can of corn my carp setup and a catfish rod and relax on the ...more bank for a few hrs maybe get a 20+lb fish
