first crappie I have caught on a bass jig. also my biggest crappie. pitched the jig to standing timber in about 2 fow and was slowly working it back. started to reel it back to shore and felt a tap so i paused and flicked my rod twice as I was slowly retrieving and he hammered it. that also set the pace for me to start swimming the jig for the rest of the day and within 45 mins i caught 5 bass.
