Hit some backwater spots unsure about the activity but hopeful because of the sunny days we've had all week. I pulled into a brackish bay 1-3ft deep and immediately noticed finger mullet scattering followed by snook explosions. The ripple shad is a perfect finger mullet imitation. I had good late afternoon action 20-34in. Temp was 70, 15mph wind. Good day.

@withers good access to the south shore from port manatee to the skyway, beautiful water/grass flats & potholes.

@withers I don't get up there much, try the Williams Bayou launch, just over the skyway towards Palmetto; 1 mile south of the toll booth take a left at "The ...more citrus place", first left at Stotz rd.

Thank you so much, those sound like some cool new areas I usually fish off of fort Desoto and the gandy bridge

@withers The skyway rest areas on both sides are good, down here in palmetto the Terra ceia area along US19 is good. Bishop harbor and Terra ceia is where I put ...more in most of the time.

I am also a kayak fisherman and I sometimes have trouble finding good spots to put in, do you know of any good put in spots?
