I went out to one of my secret catfish ponds (that contains a 34lb channel cat) and planned to catch some gills to use as cut bait for catfish. With the water temperature so low the bluegill bite was slow and only came out with this one. The outside temp was about 50 degrees with a slight breeze. I casted along a weed bank to catch this one.

      Dang that's stocked.. I haven't fished hanover in a while. It's my neighbor here in Glen Allen but just never go out that way @crookcody19

      Yeah there's a nice lake in Hanover that holds probably two 20 pound channels and one 15 pound blue cat

      I was going to do that but thought it would be more challenging to catch them on a lure, but thanks for the suggestion @pondmaster71

      Just get a little split shot wate with a small hook and some worms
