What a thrill to catch this one. The water was crystal clear and on my second "one last cast" cast, I retrieved and s/he bolted out of its hiding place about 15 yards away from the lure and smashed it hard. It's the biggest smallmouth I've caught so far. I had trouble getting the hooks out, but when I put it back in the water to breathe, it spit them out on its own, everybody won!
