Jig fishing may not always catch numbers of fish, but they certainly catch better quality fish. I've been most productive fishing near lilly pads and cypress roots lately. Lightly flip your jig into holes in the pads, or in the thick areas of cypress roots and hold on. A high speed reel is helpful to keep the fish from getting wrapped in cover.
