My class got cancelled so I hit the local pond and caught this guy at about 11:00am partly cloudy, 75* (gorgeous day!) real question is why does he have these spots? I caught 3 others all with similar markings. I assume it has something to do with the spawn...bruising maybe?

      @that_bass_tho I could see that as a possibility, there is a drain that deposits runoff from the nearby golf course. Maybe trash and filth from people as well...

      I caught one and it has a black spot on his tail @zacleka

      Black spot cancer or some type of mutation, almost the bass in my local creek has it.
