      ..and look more like Bluegills, for example, in body shape. Plus, a Warmouth has a striping pattern, like a bluegill or redear (can be jet-black though). Shadow ...more Bass have splotchy patterns, like above

      @wyldechylde77 that would be a warmouth shadow bass don't go far past the Tennessee river that's the north if you from my part of the world

      I've caught a lot of rock bass, but never with this pattern. Not much of a fight with a 7" med heavy rod and 17lb fluro either lol

      Yep, it's a Shadow Bass, the southern equivalent of Rock Bass. 😉 Pretty cool!

      11 spines 12 rays on the dorsal 6 spines 11 rays on the anal fin along with the molted color I'm going with shadow bass
