Caught these 2 within a few 100 yards of each other. I thought the 1 on left was light colored lg mouth. His mouth was like a lg mouth but dorsal fin like a sandy. What is he? Hybrid? Lg mouth/sandy?

      Spotted bass have their two dorsal fins connected, but I can't see them in the pic, so I can only guess.

      @coryo looks like you got one to me... I've caught them down here near Houston on the Colorado river. Got videos of them too. Caught three in less then 5 minutes ...more in on vid.

      Largemouth and Sandbass cannot hybridize. Largemouth are members if the black bass family, while Sandbass (or White bass), are temperate bass. My educated guess ...more is a spotted bass.

      The one on the left is a Guadalupe bass. You can tell by the stripes on the belly.
