yesterday was way too windy to fish from a boat so my buddy and I went wade fishing for wild trout; we did well catching mostly smaller fish 6-11in but got a slam of all 3 wild species (rainbow, brook and brown) My buddy landed a nice sized wild brown trout (pretty rare for NJ). We ended up seeing a much bigger fish but couldn't fool it into biting. so i went back after work and ended up catching the very same fish my buddy caught and released the day before! haha

I've caught bigger hold overs in a reservoir and freshly stocked but this is the ...more largest wild one I've caught. Saw a bigger one that was obviously much smarter couldn't get him. My favorite part is when you release them in a few inches of water and they absolutely disappear like ghosts.
