Retrieve rate on daiwa medium spinning reel of spinnerbait was literally the drum beat of florida state football chant ...hardreel reel reel reel hardreel reel reel reel etc...retrieve was consistant and fast...got nailed by every fish in the area but this one was the biggest from this bank.

Got out there early and they hit like crazy (every other cast a strike) from twilight to 7:00 am. And it looked like the whole lake was like this. No wind night before. Next day (tuesday after labor day)...couldnt get a bite on anything but red senkos weightless but fish were small...wind was heavier night before. Pretty sure that is a big factor (wind at night) as well as the crazy labor day traffic from the day before.

Nothibg like a reel shaking strike when you hear nothing but fish topping and birds chirping.
