My buddies son with his first fish caught ice fishing ever and it happen to be a 13 1/2 inch crappie that took first place in an Ice fishing tourney here in Chicago. I scouted out the lake the night before and found the crappie were suspended just 4-5 feet below the ice in 15 feet of water so I told him to put his minnow there and it paid off and now hes hooked on ice fishing, gonna cost his dad a fortune!! :)
