1. Does anyone else have a bow and live in Katy, Tx? I always imagine how affective it would be to have 2/3 people in the same area, one on a bridge and the other 2 ...more on opposite banks. If anyone is interested reply and let's go shoot some fish.

@MulletHead no one has bothered me yet. I don't see why it would be illegal, plus I'm taking an "invasive" species.

Yeah, I know it's legal, but I think there is some language about where it can be done. Didn't know if the Katy bayous qualified.

@MulletHead Pg. 33 of 2014-2015 Outdoor Annual "...bows...May be used to take NONGAME fish only....May not be released..." So if anyone tells you no then ...more they're ignorant of the law.

Technically it's fishing, no ones ever stopped me, and I've seen and heard of others doing it. And shooting those fish is legal, and it might be illegal ...more to NOT kill the tilapia and carp???

      Legal?

@MulletHead nearly all of the bayous in Katy are great for bowfishing. They've got gar (I don't shoot them cause I like to catch them on rod and reel), carp, ...more and tilapia.

I'm sure academy or bass pro would have a decent $75 bow or spend $150 and get a decent bow fully set up.

@BearC02 i have a diamond razor (originally bought for deer), I've got it rigged up for probably a total of $300 bow included. That's for sure overkill but ...more it's what I had.
