Me and some friends were thinking about camping this weekend, and wanted to know of some places around an hour away from Salt Lake City where we can fish on ice ...more free, or almost ice free water. We also of coarse would like the fishing to be relatively good. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

  It's best for fly fishing though. I don't know how good you'd do with a spinning rod.

  Weber river near Morgan. The round valley golf course has a campground no more than 20 yards away from the river and there's good fishing all through that little ...more section.

  Mantua reservoir is ice free and should be good fishing
