1. I will be fishing Oneida Lake for the first time this weekend. Any tips are appreciated. Looking for Bass and possibly Walleye.

      towing my own. got here late Saturday and it was too windy for my 18" tracker. So we fished one of the canals. did not do well there, boated two northern s. ...more but a few guys knew where the fish were. they came in with a load of smb and lmb. they released then at the launch.

      if ur looking for a small aluminium boat 12ft or so, Big Bay Marina was good at having them available.. usually $100 or so for the day

      I am actually heading up there next week for the first time as well. Will you be renting or towing your own boat. If renting, where? I have had the hardest time ...more getting a hold of the boat rental places.

      Great place to fish, spent a lot of time on this lake. Pretty big lake as both species migrate to different places. the West end of the lake has always been a hot ...more spot for Bass. Some area this time of year are very overgrown but the Bass are in there (chain pickerel also).. middle to east end of the lake due to depth was great for Walleye, they should be sitting  deep as it was a hot summer and the lake may still be warm..
