Well, I had a rough time fishing this past weekend on KY/Barkley. Started out in backs of coves, then secondary points, then primary. Only had one day with a 15 ...more lb bag and largest was 4lbs. Other days were really slow in the backs of creeks and didn't see much fish activity. Fished down at Paris the first day and just a couple of keepers. Second day put out on Barley at Energy Lake. Things a little better but pattern is way off to what I'm used to this time of year. Couldn't find hardly any bass in the backs. 15 lb sack came on road bed out in front of Crooked Creek on Carolina Rig Wat/Red brush hog and Red eyed shad rattle trap. all but two on C-Rig. We traditionally make a meal out of bass one of the nights down at the lakes and the females eggs were still very firm and not very defined. Heard that someone did real well on Ken Lake Rip Rap with several fish 4-6 lbs.

Jason, my parents live on the south side of the lake, standing rock creek to be exact. My teenage son was just there two weeks ago, and he caught large numbers on ...more a green pumpkin dream shot and a wacky rigged worm. Sorry i don't have more details than that.

honestly it depends on how far you are willing to run. I fished ky lake a lot in the last two years and found the further south I went the better the spawn was and ...more next week the spawn should be on down around paris and in that area in cyprus bay there are fish i know that are spawning back in behind docks other than that if your going to stay in the north end of the lake I would look for very protected areas tucked behind docks and things to break up the wind that will be your best chance of catching some bass on the bed up there. Bait wise anything from a shaky head to a white spinnerbait will work but I have found that watermellon charturce lizards are very very good this time of year... HAPPY FISHING!!!

Jason, I'll actually be there too. Camping at Hillman campground. Fish that backs of the creeks/bays around the brush, as well as the lead in banks adjacent ...more to the spawning flats in the backs of the creeks. Productive baits would include: texas rigged brush hogs or lizards, floating worms, spinners, and jigs to name a few.
