The bass bite is good. Bass anglers are reporting success in multiple backwater areas along the lower end of the lake, particularly those areas with semi-clear water. ...more In the clearer water areas, lures like swimbaits, senkos, and light colored Texas rigs are working. In the dirty water situations, dark colored T-rigs, jig-n-pig combos, square billed crankbaits and chartreuse spinnerbaits should be your best bet. The crappie anglers continue to target those same areas as the bass anglers. Camp Pratt also continues to be a popular area as well. Look for jigs to continue to catch more fish than minnows. Try using chartreuse in your jig color selection during this spawning time of the year. The catfish bite is similar to Columbus Lake as anglers having some success just off the channel but the fish seem scattered.
