Anglers are reporting a fair bass bite on Aliceville. A few anglers are fishing the creeks and the riprap right below Columbus Dam and reporting some success. These ...more anglers have been throwing white spinnerbaits and square-billed crankbaits. Other areas with good reports are Camp Pratt, Kincaid Creek, and Big Coalfire. Best baits have been t-rigged plastics such as brushhogs, along with shallow shad patterned crankbaits and spinnerbaits. The crappie reports are fair with most anglers working the timber and brush at Pratt’s or other backwater areas with some depth. Both jigs and minnows are catching a few fish but try both techniques to see which the fish prefer. Catfish reports are the same for Aberdeen and Columbus with most folks hitting the channel and the mouths of the old river runs with jugs and rod-n-reels with some success. Try cutbait and small whole-shad.
