1. Largemouth bass are biting! Fish are being caught in the bends of the creek channel on watermelon colored soft plastics. Target the channel ledges. Dark or natural ...more colored soft plastics are also popular choices. Weedless plastics are usually the best way to fish Calling Panther, but crankbaits and rattletraps can easily be fished off the levee in the afternoons.
Bream fishing has been slow lately. Try using crickets and redworms around brushtops in 3-6 feet of water.
Catfish are biting on livers and hot dogs along the dam. Also, try the creek channel in the lake as well as the creek at the nature trail. Catfish are being caught at night right now as well.
Crappie are in deep water and are suspended in 6-12 ft. of water. Try fishing minnows or jigs around tops in medium depths of water. Also, try the structure around the dam. Nightfishing has been popular lately as well.
