Finally able to get back out after the arrival of a new baby girl. Decided to take the the day off and have a 4 day weekend. Fishing was slow early. Got on the lake ...more at 6:45, first bite at 8:30. Caught 7 fish between 8:30 and 9:30 with the pictures fish being the biggest. Ran off the lake after my last fish by rain and high winds. Glad to be back out there.

A decent day on my favorite pond. Ended up with around six the one in the pic being the biggest. I tried the frog bite again but either it wasn't what they wanted ...more or I am bad with frogs, it's getting doc outraging. I'm also a little disappointed in the livetarget sunfish. It was great to start out with but after about 50 cast and 0 fish it started filling with water. Disappointing for a $13 lure.

Old pic, new fishing story. Hit a very flooded local lake this afternoon, caught 3 decent fish, nothing to brag about since there are no pics. All fish caught really ...more shallow. Hit the same pond I have been fishing the past few weeks Saturday from around 7:30-11:30. Decided to try out a new technique and it is definitely a winner. It was ...more a little cool to start but the fishing wasn't. Ended up with 7 total, biggest is the one estimated around five in the pic, broke one off that was definitely bigger. Reports may be slim coming up, baby due 4/12 😬

Hit the water today after work around six. Found most of my fish in less than 2' of water in scattered weeds. Had to let the wacky rig drop and give it a sharp ...more pop to get bit. Landed four fish with the one in the pic being my biggest of the year so far. Lost one around 2# bigger on a jump. The warm day made for some good fishing!
