The lake fork bag has great grubs in it. Those are great for speckled trout. They work for bass

  10. Headed to corpus Dec 29-31. So far planning on fishing bob hall and packery. No boat. The game plan is to use live shrimp or baitfish caught in cast net. I have ...more never fished the coast in winter, so is there anything I should do different? Or any specific bait I should use due to bait fish migrating or anything?

Inshore Slam (trout/flounder/redfish) with a Winter Surf Fishing

    1. Chris Skinner 0
Could always sub the split shot rig for a light Carolina rig or slider rig
    2. Chris Skinner 0
Not usually, how tight did you have it crimped on? If you weakened the line crimping it on too tight, or if you had a nick in the line at the split shot, that could've ...more caused the break off, course you
    3. pathos89 0
@Cowboy713 you don't have any issues using split shots? I lost my PB speck last year. Had him beat but he got a second wind while I was fumbling with the net ...more and broke the line right at a split shot
    4. Chris Skinner 0
Live shrimp on a split shot rig in the channel should produce some trout and flounder
