      The way I tell is they have a skinny ear and only a redbreast. I'll post a pic of a longest I caught a few days ago

  2. Details: Chain Pickerel with a Red Daredevle spoon

    Was going through old pictures of mine and found this picture from two years ago of what I thought was a musky I caught. But now I'm having second thoughts. ...more I think it's a pickerel... Anyone know? I can't tell them apart.

      One of the biggest things to look for to easily identify a pickerel is the long, dark "teardrop" beneath their eyes. This one clearly has it. 😉

      That's a chain pickerel and a very large one too! You can tell by the patterns and colorations on the body.

    Buddy caught this at the same time I got that fluke. Believe it's an Atlantic Croaker? Correct me if I'm wrong.

    Biggest blue so far. Is this a good size for blue? Anybody know? I've never caught them before.

      It's a fair blue. Big ones reach up to 30 pounds. I'd say that's about 3 or 4 pounds
