Yeah thats no fun even in a big boat, but you're right having someone who is confident at the helm makes a big difference.

Funny you mention that. We had great weather for the first couple hours. After that a cold front rolled in. Going back in we were bouncing off 4-6 for swells. Our ...more guide s great though. He kept the ride as smooth as possible.

Well thanks very cool Chris, how'd you like the experience? Lake Michigan is a lot deeper than Lake Erie, so when the wind kicks up on Erie the waves get big ...more in a Hurry. I have been out when it's totally calm and a storm blows in and within 15 mins. you had better hope you are at least within sight of land because you can end up in 4- 5 footers, and let me tell you, that is Not something you want to do in a Bass Boat. I always carry a small NOAA weather radio that keeps me up to date and ready for anything. I wouldn't leave the launch without it. One of the best $25 bucks I ever spent. Tim

Hi Tim! That was actually my first time out there. The Fishidy crew got together for our annual summit and we took a morning and did some fishing. I'm on the ...more easy coast normally so being out on the great lakes was an experience for me!

So Chris, I see you're a fellow Great Lakes angler!! I have heard lots of great things about fishing in the Green Bay area, with any luck I'll get over that ...more way someday.
