1. Details: Pacu with a Worm

I posted a poor quality picture of this fish earlier in the week when it was caught. But here is a better look, since there seemed to be a lot of interest. This ...more Pacu (indigenous to South America, relative of the Piranha) news article: http://www.wxyz.com/news/news/photos-local-woman-catches-pacu-fish-south-american-pirhana-relative-in-lake-st-clair

That's sweet and I've seen several pacu on this app alone come from Florida... I think they are fish tank releases like you said but they are definetly in ...more Florida now... Awesome catch!

wow that's crazy, I wonder if it survived the winter or was released recently?

Update: the DNR has determined it was a Pacu fish (close relative to the piranha indigenous to the Amazon) Very cool!

Yeahh either way it will make one h*** of a story!

@tkotattoos @gunnar yeah pretty wild! We are assuming it had to have been a tank fish that an owner didn't dispose of properly.

  3. Details: Other Freshwater

Was night fishing the fall before last with crawlers. Got a spot that produces decent cats. Surprisingly this (American?) Eel put up some fight on 10lb test. It ...more was 24 inches hooked through it's lower jaw. Possible lake record? (Released unharmed) very cool catch!
