Was just about to wrap it up this morning at Crissy when this fat 28-inch striper slammed my jig. It fought well in the surf. For a moment I thought I might have ...more a halibut but when I saw the flash through the waves I could see it was a striper. It weighed just under 9 pounds.

Caught and released this 15 inch surfperch while casting for stripers and halibut at Crissy field. This is the largest BSP I've caught so far. Too bad surfperch ...more are out of season at the moment in SF Bay. I could have sworn I had a small striper on the way it fought. Great fun.
