      Got Skunk
  2. Details: Hybrid Striped Bass with a sp Minnow

9:30 am tide is going out. Wait for the waves to break and cast beyond it. Hook up as soon on my first crank! Good battle. Had a hard time landing coz of sand bar ...more and low water.

That sicker is beautiful. where exactly were you fishing and what equipment did you use to catch a monster like that one? 20lbs line and anchovies?
    2. Ray B 0
By the gods that is a beautiful fish
    3. axanthicsurf 0
      Yeah. Very tough year.
    4. axanthicsurf 0
I was using SP minnow so light but you can throw it really far!
    5. axanthicsurf 0
Surf fishing is fun. Just like other fishings you have to hunt the fish.

  3. Details: Gulf Flounder with a store bought shrimp

After the rain I went fishing, casting didn't get any hits. Used shrimp for baits. This the only one I caught that day.

TheRookie, of all the flatfish I tasted this one is top. Meat is tastier, moist and tender. 👍

  4. Details: Hybrid Striped Bass with a sp minnow

I was using a salmon spinning rod since sp minnow is so light. Outgoing tide at the beach, cast about 30 yards.. Put up a good fight on a light tackle. 25inch SB.

    1. axanthicsurf 0
It taste good if it's bet 18-23 inches. Beyond that for me it's gummy and taste fishy. But thats just me. 👍

I was using Hard Shell Sand Crabs, About the size of my thumb to avoid smaller bites. Fun using a light tackle.
    3. urban_assasin 0

About

Just another surf fisherman. I love the challenge and hardwork needed just to catch a few fat Perches, Striped Bass, and maybe a Salmon if extremely ...more super lucky!
