1. Well I finally did it! Bought a fly rod I thank @cowboy713 for getting me hooked on this. Got it from Basspro shops good rod and reel set casts pretty smooth has ...more pretty good action. Comes fully rigged with leader and tippet for a first time fly fisher it's a great setup weather permitting I'm gonna break it in tomorrow!

  3. Details: Longnose Gar with a Shiner

    Mostly cloudy cool about 70 degrees low on funds and gas but that didn't stop me from going with @Cowboy713 and @Texasboy21 we had a lot of bites but no hook ...more ups only me and @Cowboy713 caught fish but still was a fun day thanks for the invite will be doing it again for sure!

  4. Added a new pole today! Ugly Stik 9ft rod medium hevy action 12-30 lb line. Gonna be used mostly for Redfish. Maybe some coast fishing. Also has a Penn Fierce reel ...more 4+1 steel bearing system with a 5.6:1 gear ratio. Tried to break it in today but no such luck! Be back there next week!

  5. Details: Red (redfish) Drum with a Shad

    Sunny day. But still slow caught 3 reds this one was 20 inches didn't keep him he had a bunch of holes where he had been hooked before so I had a lot of respect ...more for that fish. Caught him on a spinner coastal pole.

  6. Details: Largemouth Bass with a Zoom C tail watermelon color worm

    Sunny day bass were spawning using a fluger rod and spinner reel with 30lb spiderwire braid line. The worm didn't hit the creek bottom before the line ran. Then ...more not 10 casts later caught her again!

  7. Details: Red (redfish) Drum with a Shad

    22 inch red drum on a medium strength bass rod with 30lb braid line. Windy/sunny day caught 3 fish that day.
