My Profile photo is a picture of a 28 inch Northern Pike which I just caught on Merton Millpond on Monday, September 18, 2017. This one Northern Pike was just 1 of about 10 Northerns that I caught that day. I had one bigger Northern Pike on my line, until it broke the hooks off of my Spoon that I was using.
My Dad took me fishing here since I was a little boy, and to this Day I love FISHING here, and my biggest Northern Pike caught on Merton Millpond 26 is 32 inches, and weighed 8.5 lbs.
I've only kept one 29 inch Northern Pike earlier this year, to eat, but my Wife doesn't like any bones in her fish. I haven't been fileting any Pike in years, therefore I was out of practice, and that's why there was bones in my Pike Filets.
I throw back every fish that I catch know a day's. I'll only keep it if it's big enough to Mount.
Merton Millpond26 is my favorite place within 30 minutes from my house, to fish for Northern Pike!!!!
