Esther Simplot Pond 1 is a beautiful and large pond located in downtown Boise. It has lots of Rainbow Trout, Bluegill and Largemouth Bass. It also has Yellow Perch, Black Crappie and large carp which hang out under the trees at the north end of the pond. Fishing here is good year round and summertime is phenomenal for the warm water species.
