Just north of the ultra-shallow bay there is a transition to some deeper water and submerged weeds providing cover. The whole northern part of the lake has this transitional weedline into much deeper waters. Several baitfish can be observed and many, many micro-sized bass and panfish can be caught in the daytime. Fishing this lake is best done at twilight or nighttime. Or during the spring spawn, as long as you release everything.

Unfortunately due the drought years, of which we're still in the middle, this lake has become a giant bathtub, and has lost clarity. The little shoreline cover there was has either been removed and replaced by beaches and/or docks or rendered ineffective as the lake has lost so much water that what was once cover is now high and dry. Kind of a shame to lose this lake as a fishery, but it appears to be in its death throes.
