How To Go:
From Greensboro, take U.S. 220 north; turn right (east) on Owl’s Roost Road (S.R. 2337). Go 0.4 mile; turn left on Bur-Mil Club Road. The park office is ahead; the two ponds are located toward the rear of the park.
About the Bur-Mil Park Ponds:
The banks of the two ponds have been cleared of brush. A fishing pier on Lake Brandt is accessible from the park. Park staff will help disabled anglers to the pier. Fish attractors and fish feeders attract fish. Fishing tackle is available for loan for free. Channel catfish are stocked regularly from April to September.
Primary Fish Species: Largemouth bass and sunfish in the 3.5-acre pond; channel catfish in the 1-acre pond.
