About Pallid Sturgeon

Outer barbels are twice as long as inner barbels. Base of barbels "U" shaped; inner two barbels set out in front. Smooth belly. Similar to Shovelnose Sturgeon except head is larger, mouth is wide, the eye is smaller, and the color is usually paler (gray-white above and on sides).
