Details: 20 in. Walleye/ Northern with a sucker/ ice fishing
Fun
Extremely popular lake. Best action found on weed edges and rocky drop-offs. The clear water produces best during low-light periods, windy conditions and at night. An excellent fall turn-over lake for both Walleye and muskie.
went out musky fishing on sat. and thought it would be a good night for ski's. but i guess they had a different idea. we did however stay out late and tried ...more some walleye action. we found the walleyes up shallow on rocky shores with a little weed cover. ended up catching about 2 dozen walleyes, but most of them around the 10-12" range on a jig and twister tail. also caught a couple smallies like this one. water temps went down to around 77° - 70° depending where you were on the lake.
Was out on Sunday for the super moon. Didn't do jack. water was by boat landing had about a trillion knats flying around and on the surface of the water. ...more had fish all around me by boat landing but didnt see any muskies. Went to the back half for a while, and still nothing. The lake has been getting a lot of pressure lately, everytime i go past the landing there are at least 3 rigs in the parking lot. Water temps were 70° and with the super moon i would have thought the muskies were going to snap....On the other hand, i saw moon rise and it was awesome. the lake was lite up all night, fished till about 11pm.
Was out last night in some pretty good conditions with my daughter. We fished hard for 3 hours and never saw a fish. had a bunch of bluegills popping the surface ...more all over the place. water temp was mid 60's and the weeds were amazing. Hopefully this trend doesn't continue all year. Rhinelander mucky league is out here tonight so we will see how things go tonight
fishing slowed down due to the fall like weather that we are having. Current water temps as of yesterday were 61°-63°. The weeds are down from where ...more they should be at this time. We need some nice weather to get the water temps up and i think that will turn everything on....
Musky fishing was a little slow this weekend, as we had water in the high 50's low 60's. Weeds are looking good in a variety of spots. Saw bluegills all ...more over the place popping the surface. they were mostly hanging in deeper water just off the weeds. Smallies should be shallow. had a couple follow my musky lures up. Little bit of rain forcasted for the week ahead, but hopefully we get some warmer temps to heat up the lakes.
Was out there last week friday and tried to do some smallie fishing. We only caught 2, but we were only out there for a little bit. Was cruising the shallows and ...more didn't see a lot for beds. Not a lot of docks were in the water yet, guess the summer people thought it was too cold for them. Things should pick up these next coming weeks and musky season opener is this Saturday so I will probably get out there and toss a few lures around, see what happens.
picture was taken 2 days ago...with more rain coming I think you might be able to get the boat in the lakes around the area. lets pray
