      its a salmon. not sure if its coho, pink or chinook as I'm unfamiliar with the difference. the locals just call it salmon. :)

  3. got this fish and at the time thought it was a steelhead when I caught it got a couple pics and released. Now looking at the pics not looking like a steelie,No pink ...more cheeks,spots and it's not a chinook

      Can't tell in the pic, but if it's mouth was black with white gums, it could be a Coho Salmon. But it really looks much more like a Steelhead than anything ...more else.πŸ˜‰

      @McGrath82 Yeah, I'm also good with "species" 😝😝 LMAO But seriously, yes that is a Steelhead, very fresh from deeper waters.
