Lou Bragg caught this flathead catfish at Dam # 4 which is located in Beverly Ohio. He used a live 6 inch Shad which he caught from the river. Lou always used J ...more hooks until they became obsolete. He has used circle hooks but found that the hooks did not work well for him on Flatheads. On this fishing trip, he used a 10/0 Eagle Claw Kahle Hook. He caught this fish along with 6 other smaller flatheads. He is totally committed to using this hook when he fishes for flatheads in the future because each catch was hooked in the mouth and there were no gut hooks.
