      I had some that was really close to that size some 13 14inchers.. lol. but I do believe that you are right. so for the confusion.. lol.

      Yeah if you have one of each next to each other it's really easy, generally the white bass will be larger as well, the 15 inches i had was certainly a white ...more bass.

      yeah it is hard to tell.. I had a DNR come talk to me last fall, and that's what I was calling them, but the DNR said that they was considered to be a white ...more perch.. but I think one of the few ways to tell is by the number of spines on the dorsal fin. I think you might be right. I think the white perch has less, I think its 7 spines.. or something like that.. but either way still a nice catch. lol

      I think it was a white bass, I threw it back because it was foul hooked , three I kept were certainly white bass but it's really hard to tell In the maumee.
